Our story
The story of BARG GARMENTS weaves through time, from its roots in the heart of Kabul to its prosperity in America. I, Reza Mohammadi, brought BARG to life in 2006 in the lively streets of Pol Sorkh, Kart Se, and Kabul. It was a dream that was sewn with threads of ambition and was supposed to cover the country’s elite. BARG quickly transcended its beginnings to become not just a brand but a symbol of Afghan elegance and sophistication. Within six years, it has earned its place as the crown jewel of the Afghan fashion scene.
Presidents Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani along with their vice presidents, decorated our doors. Elites, diplomats stylists, and fashionistas became not only customers, but part of the BARG story – a story told through stitches and fabrics, and every garment is a season of pride and excellence.
Unfortunately, a devastating political storm once again struck my country, and all my achievements were destroyed in a single day, just like my homeland. Like many Afghans, we became refugees and displaced. Along with my family of seven, we eventually arrived here in Virginia, United States. After two years of effort, fulfilling the promise I made to myself upon arriving in America to rebuild BARG in a new country and a new place, I achieved my goal in the February 2024. I have embarked on the challenging journey of rebuilding my renowned and reputable brand.
With a heart full of dreams and a legacy of success, I planted the BARG flag in the United States. Here, amidst the whirlwind of American fashion, BARG seeks to soar to new heights, combining the rich tapestry of Afghan tradition with the dynamic pulse of American style. A dream that started in Kabul is now reaching the stars, creating not only clothes but stories of success and innovation in global fashion tapestry.
